Market infrastructure
The infrastructure institutions that keep the securities market running.
Market infrastructure is the set of institutions that ensure the conclusion, recording and settlement of securities transactions. Without infrastructure, market participants could not trade with confidence in one another: it is these institutions that guarantee that both sides of a transaction meet their obligations.
