In order to ensure the stability and sustainability of the financial markets, the Central Bank carries out the licensing, regulation and supervision of banks, non-bank credit organisations, professional insurance market participants, investment companies and other licensed persons in the securities market, investment funds, investment fund managers, payment institutions, electronic money institutions, payment system operators, persons engaged in clearing (processing) activity, credit bureaus and other persons defined as entities supervised by the Central Bank under the laws regulating the financial markets (supervised entities).
