Registrar service

Maintaining the registers of issuers’ securities holders.

Registrar service is the collection, recording, processing and storage of data on the holders of securities issued by an issuer. The register is the official, legally binding source of information on the issuer’s shareholders or bondholders.

What the register holds

  • Identification data of the securities holder;
  • The type, number and registration number of the securities they hold;
  • The history of operations transferring ownership;
  • Records of encumbrances on the securities.

What it gives the issuer

Having the register kept by a professional registrar relieves the issuer of the burden of recording shareholder data, simplifies the preparation of general meetings and ensures that dividend payments reach the right recipients.

Register statement

A securities holder may request a statement for their account at any time. The statement is a document confirming ownership and is issued within the period set by the NDC.
